World Toilets Day

The Ngong River Regeneration Network Zone 2 proudly hosted an exhibition table that attracted considerable attention from dignitaries. It was an honor to present the Masterplan, a comprehensive roadmap addressing pollution in Nairobi Dam’s tributaries and aiming for the dam's full revitalization through cleaning of its tributaries first. The commitment and interest shown by the local community leaders validated the efforts of the Zone 2 team and inspired optimism for future progress.
One of the event's highlights was the Cabinet Secretary's promise to prioritize the restoration of the Ngong Rivers while urging community members to take an active role in maintaining proper sanitation. This collaborative approach, balancing government action with community responsibility, is key to ensuring long-lasting solutions. The event also featured engaging activities, such as the manual pit emptiers' challenge, which highlighted practical sanitation challenges and inspired discussions on organic, community-driven solutions.
Collince Onyango, the Coordinator of Ngong River Regeneration Network Zone 2 and CEO of ETCO, had the privilege to explain the statuses of the rivers and sanitation facilities within the zone to esteemed visitors. This event was a milestone in strengthening partnerships and advancing our mission of environmental restoration. We look forward to more impactful engagements that promote sustainable river regeneration and climate resilience.

Early Lunch at ETCO
Diving deeper into the year with our children feeding program, yesterday's session at ETCO was filled with warmth, laughter, and nourishment. With the dedicated efforts of our team and the new interns, we ensured that over 350 children, along with elderly and youth members of the community, received a well-prepared meal. The presence of the interns brought fresh energy and enthusiasm, giving us hope for expanded children’s activities and engagement. As we continue to grow, we remain committed to ensuring that no child in our community goes hungry, and that every Saturday is a moment of joy and connection.
